Rates

Rates for studies, not a menu of seats

Fees follow the days the file will take, the number of sites in the pack, and whether a briefing day is on your premises. Nothing here is a checkout. After a scoping call we put a range in writing.

## Day rate The practice bills at **£920 per practitioner day** for file work, working sessions and pack drafting, and **£1,050** for a briefing day away from Watlington (travel in England and Wales included; Scotland and Northern Ireland quoted). VAT is added where it applies. ## How a quote is built We do not publish a single price for a workforce planning commission because a clean extract for one legal entity is not the same work as five sites with conflicting leave-reason codes. After the scoping call and a look at column headings, we write a range and a likely day count. Factors that move the range: - number of legal entities and sites - whether person-level leave dates exist - whether finance and HR already share a grade list - whether the briefing day must cover evening or weekend contract leads - board date pressure (we may refuse a compressed timetable rather than raise the fee) ## Typical shapes (guidance only)

Attrition pattern review

Usually 8–12 days across four to six weeks. Quoted after a file glance. Deposit of one-third on instruction.

Establishment audit

Usually 6–10 days. Best booked as a short block before papers lock. Billed on the day rate with a one-third deposit.

Workforce planning commission

Usually 18–28 days across eight to twelve weeks, including the briefing day. Range confirmed after file review. One-third deposit, one-third at draft pack, remainder after the briefing day.

Board briefing pack

Fixed fee once source tables exist — commonly 4–6 days of design and sequencing, not of original analysis.

Quarterly headcount watch

Retainer billed each quarter. Only offered after a full commission so the first maps already exist. Cancellation terms are in the [refund notice](/refund/).

## What we will not bill We do not charge for the first scoping call (up to 45 minutes). We do not charge a “setup” fee. If we decline the work after seeing the extract, you owe nothing. ## Expenses Printing of the bound pack is included for up to twelve copies. Additional copies are charged at cost. Overnight stays are agreed in writing when a briefing day cannot be completed as a return trip from Watlington. ## Next step [Request a scoping call](/contact/).
